After graduating from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, I returned to Chicago to work and live. Love the people in the midwest. I started out in banking, but soon got the bug for technology. I took a sales job with IBM and over the next 20 years worked for a series of technology companies, including Storage Technology, Comdisco, and even a dot.com. After my 5th company either was acquired or went bankrupt, I decided to make a career change and got into mergers and acquisitions. I joined a small firm and learned the business and then formed my own firm that specializes in selling small software and information technology companies. I have been doing that for the last 20 years.
Three years ago my wife and I bought our dream home on the lake in Grand Beach MI, right around the corner from Chicago, near New Buffalo. The golf course is 2 minutes away via golf cart, the Pickleball courts are a bike ride away and there is plenty of fishing once I start winding down my business. Instead of downsizing our house, we upsized hoping to lure kids and grandkids to this little piece of heaven destination. Except for the arthritis, Life is pretty amazing.
